Designed as world class contender for cyclocross racing, the Bianchi axis is able to wear may hats. From short high intensity cyclocross racing to the sustained dirt roads rides of the midwest, some even use it in the pot-hole infested urban jungle. The D2 7005 Hydroformed frame and carbon fork provide a smooth rolling platform and the Shimano controls offer consistent and accurate shifting.
The Avid BB7 has set the standard for mechanical disc brakes for years, and 2009 will be no different. Avid's CPS (caliper positioning system, included) continues to make setup and adjustment a snap.
Each kit includes 74mm caliper, 6-bolt rotor, mounting hardware, and adapters for front and rear 51mm IS mounts
Works with any linear pull brake lever, including Avid and others (lever and cable are not included)
Fitting the BB7 to your bike is now even easier, since all 2009 brakes now include 51mm adapters for both front and rear use! Virtually all frames and many forks can be accomodated with the included adapters. The only fit for which an additional adapter is required is for forks with 74mm post mounts, when paired with the 185mm or 203mm system.
The Cane Creek SCR-5 Dual Pivot Brakes use a sleeved coil return spring to give you a smooth response over the complete range of braking while it's easy to use micro adjuster allows brake centering and fine tuning.
